Basic Weightloss - How to Beat Food Cravings

All people experience food yearnings. And exactly what is a craving? Well a yearning is a horrible desire for a specific type of food, generally to satisfy one's taste buds, not just to please cravings. You may find your everyday or weekly yearning is felt for sugary sweets like candy, or chocolate. For others it might be a yearning for fatty potato chips or an extra glass of beer.

Although, these may be partly at fault, this does not inform the whole story. Food yearnings are also biologically based. In order to beat the food yearning we must understand these underlying reasons.

If you are tired or feel depressed your body's natural factor for this is low levels of blood sugar level. In reaction your brain signals that it requires something to raise your blood sugar level levels. This extremely natural pattern is at the base of your yearning for sugar or carbohydrates. Furthermore, another chemical reaction that causes click here your yearnings involves Serotonin, our bodies' feel-good hormonal agent. When your body has a low level of Serotonin it attempts to compensate by forcing you to ingest sugar or carbohydrates to raise blood sugar level and Serotonin levels.

But carbohydrates (such as sugar) just release a brief burst of serotonin, quickly fading after being ingested and absorbed; when Serotonin levels and blood sugar level levels fall back down, the craving returns.

But, there is another major reason beating your yearnings is so difficult (and why they show up in the first place)!

Adrenal Tiredness

If you are stressed out, not got a restful night sleep, or are just plain tired for no particular factor you are more than likely struggling with adrenal fatigue.

Adrenal Fatigue, similar to the process laid out above, includes your body sending out a signal to the brain for a pick-me-up which is your yearning for sugar or carb treats, or might be, coffee during the day; in the evening you may search for alcohol or carbohydrates. All of this only makes the problem even worse.

Beating the yearning

If you appreciate the standard reasons for the craving, then beating the food yearning can be done. It might take a little time but it can be done.
